You’re such a fucking Princess

Old original Italian jacquard fabrics, ceramic mirror with engraving
In her works, she often explores complex psychological and emotional dimensions and develops them as a basis. In this piece, a long-term toxic relationship with a narcissistic person is processed through a delicate, fairy tale–like aesthetic – and symbolically laid to rest. Through the staging of surfaces, forms, and textures, the viewer is drawn into an emotional disarray. One stands before a tableau of fabric, porcelain, mirrors, and tulle – not as a passive observer, but as part of an immersive space. The mirror, engraved with the title „You’re Such a Fucking Princess“, confronts directly – provoking and destabilizing one‘s perception.
Antique Jacquard textiles evoke a magical, fairy-tale atmosphere, gently broken by raw, almost charred-looking ceramics. A contrast emerges between harshness and shimmering naivety, between fragility and resistance. The interplay of colors, surfaces, and tactile qualities creates tension – between materiality and imagination, between memory and projection. A space unfolds in which reality and dream merge. This work speaks not only of pain but also of reclaiming one’s own narrative. „You’re Such a Fucking Princess“, creates a setting that delves deep into the imagery of fairy tales many of us grew up with. The individual elements reference fragments of stories like Snow White, Rapunzel, and Sleeping Beauty. But the title disrupts this nostalgia: „You’re Such a Fucking Princess“, is an early clue that something is off in this seemingly sweet world of fantasy. Beneath the delicate aesthetic lies a quiet menace that shakes everything loose.
