I Can’t Remember It Clearly, It Was All Blurry explores the fragility of perception and memory, moving between dream and wakefulness. The work unfolds as a dreamlike installation where nostalgic, fairy-tale-like and dark atmospheres overlap. Boundaries dissolve: what is real, imagined, or already memory? The irregular arrangement of the slats destabilizes perception, producing visual flicker and fragmentation reminiscent of dream logic.

Materials such as milky paper, charred ceramic teeth, and an everyday curtain stand in tension, emphasizing the oscillation between clarity and dissolution. Drawing on dream interpretation, the work understands dreams not as escape but as confrontation with a deeper, often disturbing reality. Following C. G. Jung, they are seen as expressions of the unconscious.

The installation constructs a threshold space where dreaming and waking blur. Central symbols like charred teeth refer to fear, loss, and repression, while milky fragments remain fragile and ambiguous. A Venetian blind forms the spatial structure, allowing only partial vision and raising the question: am I awake or dreaming?

This works forms the first one of Rocho’s ongoing engagement with linguistic and installation-based works in which language, corporeality, material, and culturally learned symbols intersect.
